Dr. Tony Evans is one of the country’s most respected leaders in evangelical circles. As a pastor, teacher, author, and speaker, he serves the body of Christ through his unique ability to communicate complex theological truths through simple yet profound illustrations. While addressing the practical issues of today, Dr. Evans is known as a relevant expositor. New and veteran pastors alike regard him as a pastor of pastors and a father in the faith.
The Urban Alternative (TUA)
The Urban Alternative is a Christian Bible teaching and resource ministry founded over 40 years ago by Dr. Tony Evans. TUA aims to spread the teaching of God’s Word through Christian media with the goal of transforming lives. To achieve the goal of transforming lives, TUA uses a variety of strategies, approaches, and resources to reach and equip as many people as possible.
Collaboration with the Unify Project
The Unify Project would not exist apart from the example and support of Dr. Evans and TUA. From the earliest stages, Dr. Evans and the staff of TUA have offered guidance and expertise to the Unify Project. The Unify Project’s 3-step plan for racial reconciliation was developed from materials found in Dr. Evan’s “A Kingdom Strategy for Community Transformation.” In addition to partnering with Dr. Litton and Dr. Luter to launch the Unify Project, Dr. Evans, and TUA will continue to support the Unify Project in our work of helping pastors and churches heal communities.
